Software 3D design and engineering giant Autodesk has educational events and launches virtually every day. They needed web banners and assets to help them get the word out about their programs.

While they have a huge library of assets (think puzzle pieces that haven't yet been put together), every program needed a new look and feel to stand out and capture the attention of busy engineers, educators and designers.

Comodo

Comodo needed corporate collateral for their first trade show as well as a full booth design – all turned around in 10 business days.

A global enterprise cybersecurity corporation, one of Comodo's main focuses is discovering, identifying and blocking new threats. And time is always of the essence – whoever publishes first gets the credit. An ongoing need was the super-quick creation of quarterly reports and case studies (some over 100 pages in length) usually in about 36 hours so that they were first to publish.

Custer County Tourism

Visit Wet Mountain Valley already had a great web presence and a slew of events throughout the busy summer season. Custer County Tourism was looking for elevated designs to promote events and collateral to match the level of visitor and community enthusiasm.

Jo Studio, Inc. was contracted to create a series of posters, flyers, social media assets and brochures for many of the area’s non-profits hosting events and programs. The results were pretty epic — SilverWest AirFest TRIPLED their attendance, the first annual Beckwith Ranch Roundup was a huge success and many events sold out ridiculously fast. Plus the re-imagined 28-page Visitor Guidebook was a huge hit with locals and visitors alike —  request a copy or download PDF now.

Father & Son Wines

Renowned winemaker Tim Hardin was looking for a logo and look to help him stand out both on-shelf and in-restaurant for his new, and very personal, handmade Sonoma County California wine company.

Custom silhouettes — hand-drawn of Tim and his son Otis — and complex finishing (spot gloss varnishes, embossing and varying percentages of opaque white printing on black vellum by All American Label of Dublin, CA) had the vintages selling fast in both retail and on-premise establishments.

Fetzer/Concha Y Toro wanted to launch a campaign for their new line of Viña Maipo Vitral wines on an expedited timeline.

Leveraging the wine’s strong Chilean roots, we created the Flavors of Chile campaign. Oversaw and art directed the photo shoot and developed a fully integrated POS launch campaign – all in under 30 days from start to hand off of mechanicals.

Oversaw design and creation of two new organic product lines for Kaila Foods – All-Perfect Cooking Oils and Pantry Basics Oils, maintaining consistency and quality control across 16 SKUs.

Product line extensions with Stand Up Pouch packaging for Kaila Organic Chia and Hemp Seeds and white label design for Atomy Organic Chia and Hemp Seeds.

McAfee Security

McAfee communicated with consumers by email to the tune of 400 per quarter – all around the world, coordinating with 10-12 channel partners and establishing and managing the translation protocols for 16 different languages. Oversaw the execution of over 1600 individual emails over 4 years.

Also designed product-specific landing pages for McAfee Security Products when McAfee merged with Intel.

Microsoft's Education Team wanted to reach high school students to get them interested in their sponsored computer science programs. They needed a series of materials that broke through the clutter at educational events.

Oversized pop-up banners and postcards got the message across in a unique, impactful and colorful way that brought the Microsoft Imagine Academy lots of attention.

Oakland International Airport needed a fun and impactful way to showcase and introduce new partner airlines as well as their wonderful nonstop destinations – all reachable right from the East Bay.

Designed and helped develop campaigns showcasing these new cities through email, direct mail, in-airport digital signage, social media and online/web banners. Also designed OAK's Park Free campaigns with emails, direct mail and social media assets.

RadioShack

ZipZaps made toy history! The initial 300,000 shipment sold out in the first 4 weeks. ZipZaps became the it toy for Christmas 03. Sales reached 750,000 units and over $25M. Product line extensions from SpongeBob SquarePants to the Fast & Furious — all using the original packaging structure I designed and engineered — continue to be popular.

RadioShack tried their hand at larger radio-controlled cars with XMODs and also branched out into robotic design systems for kids and adults at a high-end price ($249 for base kit) with VEX, oversaw all packaging and product line extension SKUs for all three.

Sonoma Strong Parks Restoration Challenge

In October 2017, Sonoma County was hit with the massive Tubbs firestorm which resulted in over 36,000 acres destroyed, including many beloved parks. Trail runners formed a grass roots movement but needed a compelling brand to tell their story and help raise money to restore the parks.

The campaign was very successful and raised over $15,000 for the Sonoma County Parks Foundation, provided tons of social media awareness and buzz, plus sent an unprecedented 15 teams to Tahoe Ragnar (150+ participants and volunteers).

Toby's Family Foods

Toby's Family Foods needed a new, fresh look for their delicious Toby's Tofu Dip & Spread tubs and lids – in two dramatically different sizes. Starting from art director's layouts, creation of final packaging with UPC bar codes, USDA nutritional charts and distinct color palette for each of 4 SKUs.

Tofu Dip & Spread project was so successful, asked to do the same for their new Genesis Juice line of organic juices, also starting from art director's layouts, creation of final packaging with UPC bar codes, USDA nutritional charts and distinct color palette for each of 8 SKUs.

VSVP (Verte Sante Venture Partners) operates a mission-driven fund which mentors and accelerates strategic investments. They wanted a logo and brand presence that felt comfortable, healthy and promoted a different kind of "green" lifestyle.
